  This is another reason I am sure the "Elder" never discussed his religion with me. Although he did indicate I should give up all my memberships in the multiple Masonic groups that I belong to. I will relate one incident that recently occurred at a youth function, a mom was attempting to get her daughter's attention so she put 2 fingers on her chin. Obviously a little firmer then she thought. She left a bruise which was observed a little while later by another adult -- no questions were asked -- authorities were called and investigation by trained professionals.

  I raised 2 children as a single parent, not once did I strike them. On most occasions a simple look from MOM most definitely would straighten out any misbehavior. You can accomplish a lot more with honey.

  On another note: a LIE IS A LIE IS A LIE! My children learned that part of the 10 commandments before they were out of diapers. And like I told the "Elder " in my final email Jehovah knows when YOU are lying, so how do YOU face him?

  several threads on here about the excellent bbc r4 programme this week ('the report') focussing on rape and abuse in barry, south wales, jws.

  fat pervert mark sewell later got 14 years and i hope he is enjoying every minute of it.. the courageous ladies who spoke on the programme were articulate, reasonable and made a tremendous impression.. the quote in the thread title made an impression on me, and i hope, on all listeners.. forget religious, theological, 'biblical' issues and cut to the basics.

  a rape victim was asked to demonstrate - to demonstrate, ffs - to three unqualified (middle-aged at least, presumably) men just how far her legs were apart when she was raped.. i have rarely heard anything so outrageous, and i used to investigate rape and abuse in my profession.

  FreeGirl2006, I totally agree with you 100% first your mother should have been by your side and they had no justifiable right to question you. Only well trained females should question victims. I hope you are taking action against the WT and the Elders.

  I did not suffer sexual abuse but suffered from repeated physical abuse as a young child and I learn early on that if I screamed or resisted the beatings got 10X worse. When I got big enough to defend my self and beat the s... out of my mother well the beatings stopped.

  a child will not scream for fear of getting further harm or has been threatened.

  Joe, I am a Certified Adult Volunteer we go through 6 hours of training to recognize signs of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. This training is for both female and male adults to work with young ladies between the ages of 10 and 20. We are given two instructions repeatedly during this 6 hours and they are 1) recognized NOT investigate you call 911 they investigate; 2) ALL MEN - if a young lady comes to you with emotional, physical or sexual abuse TURN her over to a FEMALE and excuse yourself from the room immediately.

  I just think this questioning female victims by male elders is the most absurd thing possible and the level of questioning. Then not turning it over to authorities, some how there should be a way to get obstruction of justice charges in there.

  JW ended a relationship with me

  my jw boyfriend just ended a year and a half relationship with me.

  it came out the blue and i'm deeply hurt by this because we were so compatible.

  he did it right before the big annual gathering he is presently attending.

  Creative Ways To Get DFed For "Brazen Conduct"

  okay, so here's the idea let's try come up with some creative ways to get dfed under the new "brazen conduct" rule.

  i'll start:.

  continuously schedule get togethers at your house on the same night as the meeting, invite the entire congregation and see who shows up.. go to the memorial and drink the entire glass of wine but don't eat the bread.. regularly go to nude beaches and tell people that's what adam and eve would do.. get a jw.org tattoo on your neck and tell people you count hours anytime somebody sees it.. when a preteen brother or sister gets baptized tell them they are also ready to start driving.

  Schedule Mary Kay, Avon, etc party for all the ladies during the meetings and then there would be nothing left for the contribution box it would all be spent at the party. Kids could go play on the gym set out back.
